Transport for NSW are officially opening the new Opal-activated bike shed at Caringbah Train Station this Friday 30 June. Located down Park Lane (opposite Orana Womens Health Centre), local cycling enthusiasts will have access to an additional 24 bike spaces.

The bike shed is one of five opening across Sydney train stations. This roll out is part of the NSW Government’s Transport Access Program and the Bike and Ride initiative is part of Sydney’s Cycling Future – a plan to make bicycle riding a more convenient transport option.

The bike shed will provide extra security for people wanting to ride and park their bikes at the station before jumping on a train. It’s free to anyone who holds a valid Opal card.

All customers need to do is link their Opal card through the bike lockers website and they’ll have access to any of the bike sheds on the train network. For more info go to www.bikelockers.com.au
